COSMOBOX is a queer-latina owned cosmetic tattoo shop in San Francisco’s Nob Hill neighborhood, and a first of its kind in the city. We specialize in Cosmetic Tattoo, Lashes, Brows, and Tooth Gems. We are just a hop off of the California St. Cable Car. And a skip away from famous Polk Street.
Our founder Adela created COSMOBOX with the spirit of bringing cosmetic tattoo to the mainstream for all genders. Our goal is to create a safe space for the masculine, feminine, and all peoples in between looking to elevate their aesthetic game. We’re giving a new face to what Cosmetic Tattoos looks like, and are dedicated to staying at the forefront of the beauty industry. Our brow laminations, lash lifts, tinting, tooth gems, and authentic looking lash extensions are the product of years of knowledge and professional experience.
We are CA state board licensed estheticians, registered body arts technicians and BBP certified. We are extensively trained in all services we offer, and maintain continuous education throughout the year. We pride ourselves on our expertise and are committed to maintaining a safe space & relaxing experience for everyone walking through our doors.
About Our Founder (she/her)
Adela (Adelita) is a first generation Mexican-American and Northern California native. Adela’s career in the beauty industry began as a university student, and has spanned nearly 20 years as a working pro, proving her keen eye for aesthetics.
Since that time Adela has achieved multiple milestones in her career that include becoming a licensed esthetician, a successful traveling pro makeup artist, and master lash & cosmetic tattoo artist. She established her first beauty studio in 2016, having developed the entire beauty brand's look & feel, website, and design. By 2019 Adela opened her second studio, then rebranded and expanded into what we now know as COSMOBOX in 2022
Adela’s passion for aesthetics and developing artists is what makes COSMOBOX special. Her precision and attention to detail has allowed her to remain one of the best and well-rounded beauty experts in the San Francisco Bay Area today.
